Ashland Lacrosse Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the youth of Western Hanover County, Virginia with the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of lacrosse.  ALC provides a seasonal lacrosse program, for girls (5th-8th grades) and boys (6th-8th grades) through the development of teams, practices, games and tournaments.  ALC is open to all youth players in the region, and provides a safe, organized sport where health and physical fitness are promoted.   ALC also works to promote sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play among players, coaches and parents.

Join us next season! On-line Registration will begin in January 2015.  
 
When your player plays for Ashland Lacrosse Club they will receive:
  • An 8-9 week season of lacrosse practice and games
  • a 5 day/10 hours a week program with very limited weekend commitments
  • the opportunity to bring their equipment on the school bus and to practice immediately following LMS school hours, meaning that you only have to provide transportation one-way
  • 2-3 games a week

Ashland Lacrosse Club registration monies cover:

  • field rentals for practices and games
  • referee fees
  • coaching
  • reversible practice/game pinnie for each player
  • goal posts, nets, practice and game balls, specialized goalie equipment, coach's first aid kits, field liner upkeep and repair and field lining paint

Ashland Lacrosse players are required to be members in good standing with US Lacrosse.  Membership with US Lacrosse provides extra insurance to both players and the organization and allows us to keep our fees down.  As an added benefit to US Lacrosse membership your player will receive 6 issues of the US Lacrosse magazine and the membership is good for one year and covers the player should they participate in clinics, camps or leagues outside of ALC.  Player membership for US Lacrosse is $25.00 and you will be directed to their website to complete membership application as part of the Ashland Lacrosse registration process. 

Scholarships to cover the cost of registration may be available for those in need.  Please contact  shlandlacrosse@yahoo.com for more information.

Our Lacrosse season runs from mid-March thru mid-May.  Practices for boys and girls are from 4-6pm at Poor Farm Park fields on Monday through Friday and games are played primarily on weekday afternoons and evenings.

Girls:
  • mouth guard
